A lot of times life is awful and regardless of everything we do and how much we plead, something’s are out of our control. It is also the reason this series carries so much weight. It’s all heart wrenching, it was depressing and it was also incredibly unfair. He also regrets any lasting and wonderful memories he gave Nagisa. He regrets having lived the most happy and most beautiful time of his life. And on top as that he begins to regret ever meeting her. The person responsible for making his life worth living. Tomoya, who was a man that finally found a life worth living, had lost the first person he ever loved. Jokes aside it was a powerful moment and a commentary on the fragility of human life. She answers his call and even says a few sentences. “OMFG did she make it? Please have made it”. When Tomoya called her name in desperation, we as an audience felt the same anxiety he was. As the audience, the director tricks you for a second into thinking she survived giving child birth. I mean, NAGISA DIED! Like, how the hell could I go on? The scene was so well done too. I had dinner plans with a group of friends and I was in not in any emotional state to go out. I still remember the night I saw the episode Nagisa died. I must have cried for six straight episodes at one point. Never in my life have I seen anything so sad.
